Hi there everybody just a quick one just changing gearbox oil and filter i have a 96 4.6 p38 the gearbox level has always been filled slighty more ever since i have had the car should i refill to same level
or to proper level also what happens if the gearbox is overfilled all help is greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Alan, main caution here -- maybe you are aware but I was not until Rover tech informed me -- level must be checked when engine is running and trans is in neutral. Otherwise you will underfill.

this bit i understand jfc just wondered what happened if it was overfilled

it could do damage, a smidge over wont hurt tho!!
