Alright,
Another day another issue
Anyways, last week my petrol gauge was being temperamental... I put in £30 of petrol (this would last about 3 weeks as I am on LPG, depending on outside temp etc) and the needle didn't move much.
After about a 10 minute drive She registered circa 1/4 full, then empty about 5 minutes later, the next day 1/4 full etc etc and this carried on for about 5 days, but for the last 2 days she is showing totally empty (apparently - still going fine).
Now I had a new fuel pump installed a couple of months back, so would this mean a new float/sender (are they a complete unit)? By the nature of the symptoms (also when I turn the key to 'On' the needle does raise slightly and falls when she is turned off) I am guessing (hoping) an electrical issue, loose wire, knackered gauge etc.
Does anyone have a simple test I can apply and/or instructions on checking the wiring/associated components?
Regards,
Diehard
