Morning all!
Anyone tried out this new 'fuel save' petrol that Shell (I think) has been advertising?
Anyone know what the difference is between it and the usual higher octane stuff? Are there 'magic' additives of some sort which are different to 'ultimate' etc...
Cheers!

Hi mate, i used it while i was on holiday, did around 1200+ miles and didn't notice any difference from normal supermarket value petrol that i use. Is there really any difference between the value petrol and the higher octage for example tesco normal petrol vs tesco momemtum etc...
Matt
The Shell fuel saver stuff is advertised at saving a litre per tank full. With a Range Rover i cannot see an extra couple of miles per tank being all that significant. Removing your lead boots would save more. And be cheaper.
So that would be 1 litre in 80 then? Better to buy supermarket diesel here thats over 10 cents a litre cheaper than the branded stuff![]()
Apparently Shell claim it saves one litre per 50 litre tank. But it was possibly tested by a nun driving a Prius.![]()
