Hi All,

I have noticed I have a corroded fuel pipe on a Range Rover Classic (1989), have any of you had this issue before. Have you been able to fix the issue using rubber injection fuel hose rather than metal pipe?

Always better with metal for long runs. Bundy tube is what is normally used. But copper will do just as well.
 
Used Cunifer on mine (86 3.5EFi) & not had a problem since.
1/4" seems to ring a bell, but it was the best part of 20 years ago!

Don't mess about chopping bits out & putting yet more connectors in.
I see no sense in replacing with steel pipe as that will just go again at some point in the future.
Try & remove old pipework as carefully as possible. Tempting as it is just to hack it to bits if you can get it off in one piece the old is a good pattern to bend the new one to. That includes brake pipes. Use tape over the ends of the new to stop crap getting in when you're putting it into position.

I know this wouldnt be everyones preferred choice but i used a reinforced, heat/oil resistant rub fuel hose in the end. I then cable tied the hose to the old pipe. No issues so far... we no fires at least!

If it ever catches fire, do not expect the insurance to pay up.
