Hi!

As i asked earlyer about ecotec, as an 'easy solution' to boost up
the perf./mileage of my 2.4i Fronty, i now ask if / what
any of you have done to Frontera to 'update' the motor?
Opel´s 2.4i is very solid piece of motor but slightly under
powered... Ise there any reasonable tuneups to add few
horses without excessive burning of money and fuel?
Is there some bolt in-kit in existence suitable? My budget
is very limited but maybe wit few hudred euros should be a start..?

And to be onest, no turbos or other hi-horsepower
installments please. My agenda would be extra 10 hp to help
keep up with speed on motorways...

This may well be a quite impossible to achieve but who knows...

Have you tried the Frontera owners mailing list
which is hosted on groups.yahoo.co.uk? It's a
busy list and people are helpful. Someone is sure
to have some suggestions (more constructive than
the likely "sell it and get an XYZ instead" that
you might well receive here). There are also some
websites devoted to Vauxhall tuning; they are more
oriented towards the sportier Vauxhalls but
quite possibly your engine is shared with other
GM vehicles. I don't know the 2.4 engine, having
the 2.0i SWB myself, but I agree that keeping up
on long motorway inclines can be a problem.
Generally speaking, getting even 10bhp for
just a few hundred is going to be difficult.
