Bought D3 18mths ago, it had just had an mot and a front wheel bearing for the mot, yesterday it decided to throw up an abs/traction warning light 50 miles from home, so like all good land rover owners I ignored it and got home

Jacked it up to find the new bearing has collapsed, new timken unit fitted today (cost 105 quid) and normal service resumed and I have got to say was easy to do.

I wonder what make bearing they fitted for the mot!

it can be how you fit then as if you press the on the outer hub without fitting some spacer between it and the bearing whjen you press it home you are pressing on the inner race of the bearing and not the outer
