Is it ok to use front lower spring seats on the rear? The obvious difference is that they have the hole in the centre for the shock to go through but are there any other important differences?

I want galvanised ones and it seems they only come as NRC9700G, which is the front ones, but some places are selling them in a set of 4 which suggests it's ok, but would like to get a wider opinion on it first, thanks.

I take it you are talking about a 90 ?

Oops good point, sorry yes, it's a '96 Defender 90.

Yes i many comp safari guys run them and drill the axle mounts so that you can fit shocks inside the springs as per the fronts when twin shocking them
