Front output bearing of Lt230T Transfer Box making funny noise and seal is ****ing out oil on to prop shaft has any 1 changed it them selfs any advice can it be changed without removing the front output housing from the transfer box?

thats ok but its got no info on the bearing only the seal?

I did mine a bit back an someone reckoned you could do it without taking the transfer box off but I don't see how, seeing as how you have to take the front housing off to get at the bearing.

It int that difficult you need to shim the bearing up I was lucky in that it needed the same lack of shims as the old bearing. An I'd deffo get the bearing an seal from a bearing an seal stockist an get decent makes not some cheapo chinese ones from the likes of Haddocks. You can get sealed bearings an take the inner seal off just to be sure it dunt leak.
