They are just bolt to the underneath the front footwells, there's a the reinforced area inside just above their position.

Any pics? Can’t see any bolt holes or studs? Looks like drilling holes required???

No pics but looking at the floor just as it turned upward at the front you will see the welded steel strip making that area of the floor thicker the bolts are dome headed as shown in the link.

Only use it in this application to show what's what, don't use it for part numbers, I have the genuine paper copy for that which is more reliable, plus correct numbers and more information on the part.

There's a u tube clip on fitting mud flaps to a D1
