Hi guys. before i pop down to halfrauds can anyone tell me the size of socket i need to get the front brake carrier off. For the rear it was 13mm torqx but is a lot larger on the front. thanks
Torx Bolts are a star shaped bolt. can be either an internal or external tx fitting. Ie, it either uses a spanner or socket with a star shaped cutout, or some fittings have a star shaped recess. a tx "allen key" is used then
Incidentally, Sealey do a set of 'Super drive' sockets that are supposed to work on 6-point hex, 12 point hex and torx - but I steer clear of them because they will be a compromise for each type. (And made by Sealey....)
