Hello, I’m new to Freelanders and I seem to have a problem with mine,
It’s a 61 plate diesel sd4. Runs like a dream for 25 mins but after that if I pull up to a junction and set off to continue my journey it creeps out of the junction for about 10ft then picks up as normal. Has anyone else had this problem and has it been fixed. Thank you in advance.

It's a problem that has come up now and again. I'm not sure what the cure is though.
The usual suspects for running issues are the throttle body gears stripping, or the EGR valve sticking open, both of them could cause your issue.

Hi, I have just joined as I read your post and have exactly the same problem with exactly the same car!
So far no faults are showing up at the garage and they are now suggesting a gearbox oil change (135K miles)
I would love to know if they resolved your problem. Thanks

Not much you can easily do about the throttle body but try Nodges advice with EGR, you could even start with simple EGR cleaner additive. Not that difficult to remove and clean, then go for split turbo/boost pipes.
Fuel is another possible.
Start with the cheaper fixes and work your way through before throwing money at it.

You can check the throttle body to see if it is the gears stripping, and if so you can repair it with kit.

I screwed and glued mine for extra safety, because just gluing can sometimes come loose due to oil.
