So I have fitted some switched spot light and I want to install the switch next to the 12v just behind the gear stick.
I don't fancy taking the plastic surround off and I believe I could feed the wire through. But I also don't want to just drill a hole not knowing what is behind.

Does anyone know what kind of space there is next to the 12v? I only need a 20mm hole.

Lift the trim around the gearstick and take a peek - I’d be double-checking before pushing a drill through!
Takes 2 minutes.

Getting wiring through the bulkhead is also tricky, as there are 2 bulkheads, with the inner one being very difficult to access.
Isn't easier to just have the spot lights coming on with main beams?
Manually operated spots are a pain, as turning them off quickly isn't easy.

Yes, Thank you.
There is space for the switch just not exactly where I wanted it.

I have already ran the wires through the bulkhead. At present the cable and switch are just in the passenger footwell.
Hooking them up to the main high team seems complicated
