I need to replace the diff driveshaft oil seal due to it leaking. I prefer to avoid undoing the driveshaft nut as I don't have a 400nm torque wrench.
Can the driveshaft be taken out of the diff by removing the link arms but leaving the other end attached to the hub?

Yes, but there's no guarantee that the bolts will come out the bushes, so there's that to consider.
As for the axle nut, I don't have a 400Nm torque wrench either, so I just do them tight with a 50 year old ¾ breaker bar with my trolley jack handle slipped over for extra leverage. ;)

Easier to remove link arms from subframe end. Long bolt through hub rarely moves without cutting!

Then beware of flexi brake hose but suspension leg pulls out enough to disconnect driveshaft from diff.
