Hi,
i am new to the Forum, i from Germany near Hamburg and i bought last Year in November a Freelander 1 TD4 Automatic with an Transmission Problem (broken Reverse Brake Band)
Hope someone can help me to figure out the Problem.
Take the Transmisson out and change the Brake Band by myself.
After completing i notice, that there was two solenoids defectitiv so i change them too (Pressure Line Solenoid and 2/4 Brake Solenoid)
Hoping everything is ok i take a check-ride but when the Car reached 50kmH it looses the drive and HDC Light goes on and shows F4 Error.
My Neighbor has an Lauch Diagnostic tool an we were able to connect to the car and see a lot of Error Codes.
the most related to the defective Solenoids and after deleting they dosn't show up but two errors are still there and it seems they can't be deleted.
First one is a P1605 EEPROM error marker/Flag in the Transmission ECU
second one is a C1151 CAN-Transmission Datafault in the ABS ECU
Booth can't be deleted.
I try an used Transmisson ECU, i bought on Ebay but the nothing happens. The Problems is still there.
Check all connectors and Wires from the Transmission to the ECU but all seems to be OK.
there are two things make me wonder and i am not sure if it's ok or a fault.

ABS Light is on after Start and only turns off after the Wheels make a few revs (arround 5 meters)
The Odometer doesn't count and shows the same Km when i purchase the car , one time it shows arround 4 Km more and then after Battery disconnet it steps back to the previous Millage.
I can switch from D to Sport Mode and when i Move the lever back or forth i can switch between 1. and 2. Gear
If i move the Lever Back to D and then to 4. Gear and from this Position i switch to Sport Mode noting happens.
I can Move the Lever Back and forth in Sport Mode whitout any result. The Display doesn't show any Gear selected and no function at all.

I try a lot to find the Problem but i am running out of Ideas. Hope it will be a defective Gear Switch but maybe someone can point me the right way to bring the Freelander back to running mode.

Best Regards
Nuno
