Hi, Any tips on how to remove the vinyl boot on the auto shift lever of a Freelander 1?

If I remember correctly it screws on underneath with a sort of plastic thing around the edge. I never took mine oft. I always pulled the lever handle oft then undone the screws to remove the whole plastic surround. The boot cover comes oft with this.

Do you mean the gaiter that you can see from inside the car (when all assembled) or the rubber boot that is underneath that??

I have just changed the top one and can advise on "how to" if that is the one you mean !

I'd like to know how to replace the leather gaiter on the auto gear stick for my Freelander 1 2002 if you do have that knowledge. Thanks
