I replaced the o\s front bearings several weeks ago and did a quicky (read sloppy) replace of swivel seal
by nipping the new seal and cleaning the landing and rtv'g it in. while cleaning the landing I hooked this out.

I have looked at several good videos and exploded assembly pictures and can't figure out what it is.
it is both too small and insubstantial to be part of the needle-bearing.
Another Landy enthusiast and professional mechanic looked at it and said it might be a cir-clip from the axle but his certainty level was pretty low. Any ideas mates?

I had a real bitch of a time getting the flange end cir-clip back on when I initially found the sloppy bearing and attempted to snug it up, it went on a lot easier after I replaced them.
I had read the flange bolts are supposed to fit the threading in the axle, but that wasn't the case for me.

iirc , I normally use an M8 or M10, it does not screw in, just hold it at an angle and pull the halfshaft, the circlip just pops into place then.

Cheers
