Hi, just after some ideas as we seem to be out of them!

Please bear in mind, I’m not a car person, in any way, so please explain anything like I’m an idiot!!

My 2008 Freelander 2 has a rumbling/grinding noise that seems to come from FOS wheel area. Initially thought it was a bearing, but it’s been replaced and noise is still there.

It’s definitely something turning as you can hear the “vom vom vom” getting faster as I accelerate, until it’s a constant rumble, then the reverse happened slowing.

Mechanic can’t find anything and really want to get it sorted (or confirmed it’s nothing to worry about!) thanks!!

Worn/ damaged brake disc, or tyre out of round, both of which your mechanic should have seen when changing the hub bearing

Something jammed twixt brake pad and disk. Can be very hard to spot and may not show up on the disk if the object is a softer metal than the disk.
