Well floppy arm rests actually.
Tried a search on here and got a wonderfull post all about putting LPG on a Turner head on a series.:confused:
The arm rests on the front seats (1988 Turbo D) will not stay put in the raised position, not a huge problem is it but just a tad annoying at times.
Is there any way a bit of tension can be introduced into the pivot arm??

I'm glad not to be the only one to have obtained such useful answers from the search facility o_O

I'm not aware of anything actually retaining the armrests, mine (Vouge efi) just seem to stay there on their own.
Depending on how often you use them, perhaps a bit of Velcro or even wedge something into the gap?
Out of interest, do the height adjust knobs still work?

Yes they do much to my suprise. It does seem though that every week I manage to find something that dont.:(

Heard a bit of a rattle while driving over some bumps the other day - you have to note that we really don't do potholes this side of the channel :) - remembered to have a look this morning and as suspected need to replace the rear top damper bushes. Just ordered 2 x damper/bush sets off tinternet.
More money :(:( could be worse though, I could have bought a more modern RR for 1/4 of the cost and be spending like a loony keeping it going.

'Ah the joys of LR ownership
Following on from my last post, what about a band of material around each armrest to make it a tighter fit in the 'slot' ?
Come to think of it I can't remember having your problem on any of the four RRC's I've owned, maybe it's a feature of the Turbo D ;)

AAAAHHHHHHH that'll be it then, the passenger gripping the arm rest and rocking backwards and forwards in a vain effort to make the thing go faster.:D:D:D:D
