Evening all,

Image attached shows the N/S/F floor pan, to the left of the image is corroded and gone through, from underneath there is more corrosion and is in need of repair.

Question - has the floor got 2 skins (outer and inner) as the part with the 2 screws in (right of image) looks like a second skin but also looks like the don't come apart ? Need to weld a plate in the floor, can I cut the top skin out to gain access to the floor that's corroded through ????

The bottom of the image is the left hand side of floor.

Thanks.

Yes they are double skinned I believe. I had the n/s in my Defender replaced and had that double skinned. Do it properly, do it once !

Thanks, think I will cut the top skin off, cut out the rusted bits and reweld a plate over the top giving it the second skin back.

Was only doing the battery box and found more bits corroded.... Oh what fun.
