Thinking of buying sills from yrm under £20 each has anyone fitted this type of sills can i just weld on top of old sills looks like they can be.

yrm-metal-solutions.com/index.htm put www. in front of it rules says don't put full web address naughty!! hehe thaT IS the website and i have checked and it works. I would cut the bad rust and treat it and then weld the part on the old one. but u can buy two rectangle long piece 3inch by 2inch and the length of the sill etc and wled that on and presto mot will be fine. and it becomes like rock slider too

Thanks for that redhand, has anyone used their stuff - are they ok, does their stuff fit?

They seem to be cheaper than others so I'm tempted, I just don't want to buy crap and muck up the job.

I would go with what Redhand has shown u the link just weld a box section in and paint it black the sills are merely to keep body strength stiff I would do away with old sills and grind it out and nice flat and weld box section and fit new rubber mounts and u are done.

I bought 2 new door channels for the series doors that are going on the 90. and they were fine. also a couple of people I know have used the rear body mounts for disco's and seemed happy enuff with em.
