hi Guys here’s a couple of questions from me it’s about my Disco II TD5 GS 2003 model :
(1) even if my gearbox is in low ratio when I engage ‘downhill decent’ the light flashes anD ‘bongs’ at me is there a switch that tells the car it’s in low ratio ? As I suspect it doesn’t realise it is ? Traction control and ABS all work okay
(2) both rear wheel arch liners that also support the rear mud flaps have rotted away and I need to replace them , had a very quick look but how are these panels fitted to the Disco are thy riveted or bolted ? I have bought a new set of galvanised ones .

Any ideas/comments/hints/ tips

Alan

Does it bong 3 times when you first press the switch? Sure that's fine if it does. Handbook should know ;)

Inner mud flap bracket is combination of rivets and screws, just drill out or chisel heads off and use nuts and bolts to refit. Mind the acual inner arch isn't rotten as well it's a right mud trap

Yes there is a switch, and if it is broken then it will stop the HDC working , thus bongville.

Cheers
