Evening chaps,

so Ive noticed an odd issue on my freelander ('03 1.8 petrol) whereby even with the heater control all the way at cold, the air coming from the vents is slightly warm and the air inside the car feels noticeably humid. When I turn the AC on this goes away so the AC is working fine, its just the normal air fans... I dont know if its connected but Ive recently had the AC system serviced and whatever theyve done has made the air/fans smell really musty, sort of like a military surplus store smell if you know what I mean?

Any ideas whats going on? At first I thouught it might just be the weather and becausei ts bloody hot outside, but even driving home from work at 3am its still doing it, even if its cold outside.

is it possible that when you turn the control to cold on the heater it isnt going as far

if its a cable may have stretched but i dnt no just an idea :)

Coolant levels are fine, I've had her about 2 months and the coolant level hasn't moved. I was thinking heater matrix problems but don't they usually just **** their contents straight into the passenger footwell if they break?

Pull the knob off and turn it 180 deg, ish
push it on lightly and see if the knob goes down further,

mine had been removed at some point and although it was showing on hot
all I got was cool air,,did the same and all was well.
