Toying with the idea of taking the fairey out the series and fitting a Roverdrive unit instead as they're a bit stronger and I have a V8 up front.....


Its a little noisy but the rebuild kit is £74 from RM

Probably after £350 as my last one which was mint went for £550

Why not try the Ashcroft transfer box upgrade for series boxes about a quarter that of Rd

Not as versatile. The rover drive can be used in all gears giving you an effective 8 forward gears in high and 8 in low!

Very true, I used to climb the hill out of Dewsbury using 2, 2+od, 3, 3+od when I had a perkins, God bless v8s

May well refurb this one with the kit but roverdrive is the best option I reckon
