Alright,
Ive been searching on here, and on google, but i cant find a manual anywhere for a fairey 525 mechanical PTO winch. ive managed to find a manual for a 525 hydraulic winch, and one for series vehicle fitment, but not for a defender fitment. Has anyone got a link to a manual for a defender fitment, 525 mechanical driven pto winch?? will be much appreciated if you do.

P.S the PTO is the clutch type unit, instead of the shear pin unit.

Also, does the pto drive box just bolt straight onto the transfer (using the 6 bolts) box once the main shaft cover plate is removed? or do you have to remove any bearings and gears like you have to do when fitting a series pto?

Pto fits straight on you need six longer bolt 40 and 45 mm long cant remember which one go where though!

Ive just finished fitting mine
Note you will need to weld tabs to the front chassis crossmember
