If the routes used are BOAT's and not subject to TRO's then why are the police spending £10k per hour for helicopter surveillance?

Even if the routes have been downgraded to RUPP's, For definitions see this link there is still no reason to waste such huge amouunts of cash, when they could use a Land Rover- equipped member of the constabulary to do the job far cheaper and probably more effectively!!

I think the point in this instance though is that the 'route' is not a BOAT, neither does it have any vehicular rights of way.

i think the biggest need is for better signage on the LEGAL routes and clear marking on the non-ROW stating that they either are or are not ROW. then as far as i'm concerned anyone caught off piste can get f*****, Moel Y Gaer conservation group does work with GLASS and TRF etc so is aware of the need for better signage but as everyone knows, cash is tight and signs for ROW aren't the highest priority. what we as a community should be doing is joining forces with the various conservation groups and trying to build bridges ( literally ?) - the jouno's won't like it, people working together to deal with issues rarely makes the news as much a the shock horror bollox.
this then might encourage the local ROW officer ( that is a post with real power over what we do) to stop viewing us all as mindless yobs.
so instead of £10000 per hour for helicopter rides perhaps a couple of thousand for signs, which I'm sure many of us would happily spend a couple of weekends putting up for free.
