if i fit 35/13.50/15 mickey thompsom tyres to my lifted 90 will it require extended arches or will they not sit past my existing standard arches, anyone know?

Yes, you'll need extended arches (c4") and wheels with a big offset.
And a reserve fund for replacement half-shafts and diffs.

had 305/70/16s on mine for 3 years with archs no problems with half-shafts and diffs.

blokes suddenly whacked the price up so he can get stuffed now, probably gonna try them new silverstone extreme 35/10.50/16...will they fit my existing steel modulars that currently have insa special track 265/75/16 tyres on or are the rims not wide enough?

Those tyres need an 8" rim.
What width are yer Modulars? (It should be stamped on them if you're unsure).

90 boy. your 305's are only 12" wide not 13.5" there is a big difference in width when mounted.

Wilts, 35x10.5s sound lovely. thin and tall. are they an aggressive pattern? im running 255/85's which are around the 10.5" wide mark on wolf rims so your mods will be fine (as they are fitted with 265's).

Good luck.

hi g the silverstone extreme is very very similar to simex and close to the special tracks i have at the mo..but the insas are only 31.5" tall and the silverstones are 35"

Like tre said, expect to lose a halfshaft or even a diff depending on how worn these things are. The aggressive pattern coupled with the taller larger diameter tyre, extra unsprung weight etc. could see you stripping things when you try to get yourself unstuck from the mud.

Think about it. If you manage to get stuck with THOSE tyres on then your asking your kit to take a lot of **** when your making it get you out. What im trying to say is, when your tyres grip but your not getting anywhere fast the strain will be transfered to the driveline. halfshaft splines or worse, a diff will twist or shear.

Just be prepared :)

ive already exploded i rear diff with the insas on,so i think it just goes with the terrotory, but i dont wanna cause any extra unnessacery probs, its just the insas do look a tad small in the arches ,but i do like em..

well thes fedima's av only got a speed rating of 66 MPH,and thi ar heavy.but thi do seem a gud strong tyre.

Try these for size, i put em on mine with standard height and arches, they wouldnt fit. On a 10" modulars they project out past standard flexi arches about 4 inches.Looks like a monster truck with them fitted, may fit if lifted and arches extended, i changed for 33x12.5x15 on an 8j rim, heres the link for the 35`s though:
