hi all
the exhaust manifold is chuffing slightly on the left bank on my 1998 p38 4.6 v8
i think it may be cracked but untill i remove the heat shield i cant see what the problem is
has anyone got any tips for removal there are 8 bolts to remove which secures it to the head ,are these likely to snap of ?
anyone had any experience of this ?
if they do snap of it would be a right b*****d to put right

they shouldnt snap off in head steel bolt in alluminium.even warm engine up before you try. alloy expands quicker than steel. i ve never had a problem with this good luck

ok cheers for that,i have a donar vehicle so i think i will try a guinea pig test on that first ,fingers crossed
