Hello. Over the last couple of months I have posted about my woes of the EPB on our D4. Having got a helpful garage to remove the module I have found it didn't re latch due to knackered plastic gears in the EPB internal gearbox. I am wondering if it is OK to buy the replacement gears from ebay or if it is better to replace the whole module? If replacing the whole module is it a disaster to buy an after market one from ebay or whether people have had reasonable experience with them. This isn't an every day use car, it is the farm vehicle but does get used once a week or so for the odd trip to the DIY store.
What have people done with theirs? It seems that £800 for a genuine LR EPB module is a lot given that they seem to break regularly.
