Hi People,

After a bit of info, does anyone know the temperature that a 6.2 v8 gmc engine should run at? (fitted in a 90 defender)

Have asked a few people and some say 75oc and others 90oc only nothing concrete and I do not want to damage the engine.

Many Thanks

Rich

Yu wont damage it at either of those temps, however 90 does seem a bit on the high side.
As a general rule if thumb the hotter an engine runs ( without overheating) the better as it improves efficiency. Usual thermostats temps are 82 to 85 degrees to allow a safety margin when working hard before it damages the engine.
