Hello, over the next couple of weeks, I'm stripping a Freelander 2 2007 manual so I can use the engine, as my engine is fried (Freelander 2 2007 Auto). I would like to keep everything from the donor engine as it always starts the first time. So the question is, what would I need to recode? Do I need to record any information from the donor engine before I strip the car? And finally, will the Autel AP200 be capable of doing this? Thanks in advance for any help

Hi,

So you have one working FL2 with manual gearbox that you want to split in many parts ?

And you have FL2 with dead engine and auto gear box.

Save your time, use the FL2 which is working. You will end up certaintly switching the engine back once the auto gearbox has gone.

You'll need to change is the injector codes in the ECM. Also if you want to avoid doing an air path calibration, you'll need to use all the intake sensors from the working engine.
I'm not sure the Autell will do either the injector code change or the air path calibration.

Don't forget to order new drive/flex plate bolts for when you do the engine swap.
