range rover L322 2003 4.4 which oil are you using in your engine in uk ?
the owners manuals on the l322 offer conflicting advice from one year to the next its a bit of a minefield

Only seen a couple of owners handbooks, they were both pretty much the same giving a wide choice of viscosities according to operating temperature meeting ACEA A3 and B3.the owners manuals on the l322 offer conflicting advice from one year to the next its a bit of a minefield
its the viscosities that they cant make up their minds on the early manuals recomend 0w30 ow40 etc then they go to 5w30 5w40 etc then even up to a 10w? there seems to be a train of thought that 0w is good for a brand new engine but even this may be too thin and contributes to early vanos failure and some experts have the opinion that 10w should be used, i went for the middle ground
