Martin300TDi

I've got myself in a state as I have just bought a 300Tdi...or so I was told. There is nothing I have on paper that confirms this and I've checked the VIN but I'm told from the VIN details it could be: "model 11L (200Tdi) or model 16L (300Tdi)"

The VIN states it is a MY95 but it was registered Nov 94.

To put my mind at ease, how can I easily tell, visually, that I have the 300 and not the 200?!

(I do want to make it clear that I have no reason to think anyone has pulled a fast one...but I really would like to satisfy myself now).

Hope someone can help.

Ooooh....thanks for the quick responses chaps!! :D

I'll go and have a look and let you know. It'll be either happy bunny...or dangerous psychotic.

I think I'm a happy bunny!! :D Well...so long as I assume correctly that the serpentine belt is on the 300Tdi and Griffdowg hasn't photoshopped his images!! :p

the serpentine belt is on the 300TDi. I think the 300TDi also has an air bleed plastic plug on the top of the thermostat housing, as well as the radiator. The 200TDi only has the radiator plug. Change them for domestic radiator bleed valves before they break.
