hi all got a p38 rangie 4.0 petrol/gas with a strange fault i really need help with ???? the car runs fine with no issuses but if you have the lights on or hazzards on the thing still runs with the key off and in your pocket and carrys on running until you turn off the lights or hazzARDS.IT ALSO will start by turning on the lights the key doesnt have to be any where near the car any help would be appriciated

Start by looking at the fusebox and the BECM .......

ignition barrel wiring, headlamp stalk, steering column...all in the same general vicinity? you may be making/switching to an unwanted contact there, whenever you switch on lights, try taking a look and generally giving it a bit of a tidy if you can,(disconnect battery first though).
