On my 2a the yellow choke light only came on when the engine warmed up to remind one to put it in. A little switch on the choke cable near the bulkhead switched the light off when choke pushed in.
That's what I thought also. I left it running long enough for the engine to warm up completely and choke open or closed the light stayed on. I believe I read the ground needed to be checked.
