Rear passenger window has packed in........

Pulled the panel off and tested at the motor.......motor dead, plenty of juice.

Now I've been reading all the posts about changing the mech, but they all seem to be about windows being stuck open or half open.

Here's the problem......mines stuck in the up position......how the hell do I get it down, to be able to remove the mech. Tried a good push, but no joy?

I have a spare motor which I'm planning to swap over, any advice?

To be honest it depends if your planning on keeping the old cables. If not a pair of wire cutters used to cut the cable running up the back of te regulator worked for me. It allowed me to lower the window, but I was replacing the whole regulator and cables.
