Is there a benefit to removing the EGR valve on the Defender TD5? I am sure this subject has been posted before but a forum search going back a year brought up nothing. The sellers of the blanking kit claim "increased midrange performance"...but they would.

Your EGR should be inactive during your engines "mid range",so if blanking it off makes any difference then the valve must have been stuck open therefore faulty anyway.
