Hi all. I have had enough of egr problems on my 2010 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 and would like to know which would be best blanking off or installing an emulator? If emulator where could I purchase one.

Is a bad idea blanking this late model off and the emulator boxes I’ve heard don’t last very long

Best to always get the codes read first to 100% ensure it’s the egrs at fault

If they have failed is best to replace them

Know that’s not really much help

You can get the egrs mapped out, if they are at fault at this moment in time you will also have to physically blank them otherwise they will still be leaking.

BAS or Alive tuning are ones that are well known

Thought there was issues If there was a DPF fitted on the 3.0 D4 it shouldn’t be done , expect I’ve been reading it wrong again, lol

Thanks guys for the feedback. The code I am getting is P042F which is egr stuck closed.
I am in South Africa and I believe that the Discovery 4 was exported without DPF's. Mine does not have a DPF so is it ok to blank the egr without any harm?
