Hi all,
I've got a td5 defender (1999). I buggered the ECU and I'm trying to find a new one, however it seems that the one that's in there at the moment (msb101170) is as rare as hens teeth. Surely if the td5 engine is the same in both discos and defenders, I could use other ECUs, such as the msb 101181 or other (cheaper and more available ones) on flea bay?
Just wondering if anyone can explain the point of the different ECUs please? And, more importantly, do I HAVE to replace mine with the same part. (in the pipeline is an ECU remap)
