Iv been searching for a while now and not found owt that really matches my question...

My EAS works great and operates as it should in terms of hieght adjustment

However, i recon i have a leak somewhere but cant pinpoint it.
My compessor seems to run more than i would expect it to (Everytime i start the car up at least)

Iv been round with the 'soapy spray' and found that its not any airbags (all four are in very good cond with no perishing at all)
None of the airlines that i can see are leaking air, including the ones in the engine bay.

Iv had it on my laptop and a 'vehicle has moved' fault comes up.

Any pointers for where to look?

This leak doesnt cause me any problems at all but id rather sort it if and before something does fail as a results of the compressor running more than it needs too

The 'vehicle has moved' fault has come up almost every time I've plugged the software into a Rangie and I've just learned to ignore it.

There will always be a little loss of air from the system, are you sure you're not just being a little paranoid?
If it's not used for a while does it actually sink?
You're certain that it's the EAS pump that runs when you start up, it's not the brake pump?

I proberly am just being a bit paranoid tbh

The rangie doesnt sink as such, but when i fire it up, every now and then it will rise up to position (usually from the front)

Its deffo the eas pump that runs cos i feel it running when i put my hand on the pump casing.

The brake pump does also run everytime i start the car, and most times i use the brakes.... although i cant hear the father in laws in the same way mine makes a noise?

Don't forget that the EAS system self levels when you park up, therefore a little adjustment when you fire up again is quite normal.

The brake pump should only run every five or six brake applications, obviously not an exact science as it depends of what sort of braking, but you might be in need of a new brake accumulator.

Ok mate cheers, glad its workig as it should, however ill look into the accumaltor

"Vehicle has Moved" is not a fault, it's normal; meaning that since last used the suspension has lowered on at least one corner as the car continues to self-level. I believe it's usual to settle in anything from 20-30 minutes, then every six hours!
My brake pump operates every second application of the pedal, as have previous RR's. 1st depresion uses air that's in the system, second refills it.

If the airbags look allright (no crack on the bottom!), I would look into the valve block, most likely a dryed o-ring or cracked diaphragm.

The Range should (at least) be 1 day/night on the standard ride level.

If not, than there is a leak.

Find the leak, otherwise the compressor has to be revised. How old is the compressor anyway?

I think the book says 5mm drop in 24 hours is OK. A lot depends where you park, on flat level ground mine stays up, on uneven sloping ground it goes down slowly which is normal as the EAS tries to self level every 6 hours.

Thanks for the info guys,

So from what's been mentioned it's acting the way it should be then wih the self levelling, as it doesn't sag at all.

It just seems to eat away at me when iv got in me head that somet may be on it's way out lol! I'd much rather give it some well deserved tlc than fork out for a new pump in the not too distant future
