I have been reading about EAS on the net. My system has gone into hard fault. I was wondering if anyone knows if my LF door error could have triggered this since the system thinks my door is open and does not function. If so Is there something I should check first.

yes if it thinks the door is open, the EAS will be disabled, however, it shouldn't drop to the floor

Well it's had the door error for about a month. So do you think even after that long it would not be a factor? Thanks for your response!

Does the door ALWAYS register as open?? If so then the EAS wont of functioned at all, that is to say, no self levelling or bringing the vehicle up to height from standing overnight or something.

Have you definitely got a hard fault?? Is the compressor running?? There seems to be hard fault mode and a soft fault mode, look here for the differences.

My guess without knowing exactly what type of fault you have got is that because the door has registered as always open then the vehicle hasn't been able to level itself at all. This means that it will also not of been able to rise at all. With your door problem the vehicle has probably gradually sunk and sunk as the air has gradually leaked and you are probably almost on the bump stops and you could of got a 'out of range' sensor error??

I might be way off but without more info its hard to tell.

It is in Hard Fault mode. I am on the bumb stops and i have the EAS Fault on the Dash. But I was just wondering if the door could have caused this in some way.

As asked above, did/does the door ALWAYS register as open?? If so then I should think what I said above may well of happened, the air will of gradually leaked from the srpings and you will have got lower and lower towards the ground and eventually you will have probably been driving along on or very near the bump stops and got some kind of sensor error when you hit a small bump or pot hole.

Whatever the case is you say you now have a hard fault (on bump stops, no compressor running and SLOW 25MPH MAX message appearing) and the only way to reset that is to get it to a dealer with a Testbook system or an independent with a Rovacom system. They will be able to read the fault(s) in the ECU's memory, reset it and hopefully fix any problems with it.

I would say get the door latch replaced though at the same time so you can avoid something like this happening again. Does it not drive you mad going along with the car beeping at you telling you the door is open??

Remember though, if you are in hard fault mode then even you fix the fault you still need to have the fault reset by someone with Testbook or Rovacom

Well I fixed by door handle. And my repair guy reset my EAS and everything seems to be working good now. Thnaks for the Help!
