Hi. Changed the rear hub seal on my 1972 series 3 88 back in April and the damn things sprung a leak already! My question is will the later double lipped rtc3511 seals fit the earlier axles? Cheers Dave.

No. You can get an R23 seal in 58x85x8. The standard seal size seems to vary depending on which manufacturer you believe, some claim to be 59x85x7.9 so you would need to turn the land down a bit to use a commercial off the shelf double lip seal.

Started making a pdf of options on landrover series seals , was interupted by a heart attack but coreteco numbers listed and sizes.

Thanks I've seen corteco seals advertised are they any good? The seal that's in there came from paddocks can't remember if it was britpart or not
