Hi,

has anyone got any pointers regarding this, I'm about to remove the unit and open it up for a look see,
It makes the noise when eject is pressed, it's powered up okay and you can see part of the mechanism move but it's not ejecting.
Screens are ok and after a few minutes a message comes on the screens saying 'eject fault' or similar.

I'm expecting perhaps rust or muck is the issue .

Are you sure there is actually a disc in it? ;)

My old E36 cartridge system suffered same from wet when sunroof leaked. Strip down clean and greased the little motor thing then it was okay worked for years.
Getting the cartridge back out was the tricky part.
Presume your one is of similar nature

It's a cartridge, you need to eject it to load Dvds, (6 I think),
it's the rear entertainment player and it lives in the notoriously damp N/S/R quarter.
Wonder if its like the cd unit on that if you slide a thin steel rule under the magazine then side ways it releases it, other than that a pound and half ball peen hammer should do the trick but only if its supercharged ;)

Had it apart, simply lack of use coupled with with stiction caused by moisture and very fine rust, worked it to and fro then put some dry lube on slides,
happy days.:)
