any ideas on this one, pulling off the other nite something went bang and it popped out of gear, now will only select a gar to pull off when i put it in 1 then once im upto speed will work as usuall when i put into d, but if i come to s stop same again, into 1 then to d, selects reverse fine just wont pull off in anything but 1

check fluid levels first

had similar prob with 97 4.6 hse, turned out to be a fuse in the drivers seat section,,cant remember which one tho.

Seen a similar problem reported in another thread, think it was a sprag clutch or something, only used for first.

Yep one of your "one-way" clutches has failed.

Box out rebuild/repair I am afraid.

hmm how gay, why does it still work tho? happened other week as well but was alright after few miles
