Anyone on here know if it is possible to convert my truck cab drop down tailgate to a swing away, and if so what parts do I need.

From a quick look it looks like I could replace existing hinges a and latch with those off a full size door ie - 2 side hinges, a door latch and striker plate????

I don't understand why anyone would want to do that.
The drop-down tailgate is so handy as a seat / viewing platform / workbench / load-floor extension etc etc.

it's very easy to do ..........

fit one of these just above the middle hinge

Heavy Duty Scotch Tee Hinge 406mm - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

use one of these to make a horizontal cut across the full width and depth of the door into between the newly fitted hinge and the existing one

Makita 9555NB 5" Angle Grinder 240V - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys

then fit one of these to the upper section of the door
