I have a 2001 3 door freelander all central locking works great apart from the drivers door wont unlock with remote any ideas ?

It would seem there is a 'lock' motor and an 'unlock' motor. Seems either the 'unlock' motor, or its associated feed is duff. he central locking in general is working if the other doors are operating correctly.

Check the wire loom link from the door post to the door as this is prone to failure due to repeated flexing.

get the door card off, check the connections and give the linkages a lubricate. if this doesn't work, then you will need a new lock assembly part no. LALR9782 K633 LOCK ASSY - FRO @ £61.38 plus VAT from a main dealer, but might be cheaper if you look around.
