hi guys when i brought my p38 it had/still got a fault where the mirror,lock window etc doesnt work it hasnt been a worry to me but just had to do some work on the thing and had to disconnect the battery and done the usual rest the bleeps but the passenger front door open is flashing up on the dash yes the door is closed etc is there anyway i can trick it to say closed or has it got to go on diagnostics to be told its closed etc thanks

It's microswitches in the lock mechanism that tells the BECM whether the door is open or closed. It might be worth a look around inside the door, perhaps with an aerosol can of something. Unfortunately the problem could be there or in any of the wiring/connectors between the lock and the BECM.
