Hi all
Another little niggle I have is if I use my key fob to lock then unlock my disovery and try to open the Nsr door using either the inside or outside lever, as it's just about open something springs inside the mechanism and it locks itself so then I have to open the front door reach through and unlock it manually?
Is it just the whole mechanism knackered?

Try a search for door latch Cos what you need is a new door latch, or if yer brave, a new spring.

Put the key in, after you've unlocked with the fob and turn it to the unlock position. You'll be able to open the door from the outside then. Mine does the same..

Just order the spring its not that hard read the sticky

just order the spring you fanny

You have to take the mechanism out anyway to replace and much cheaper.

Landrover Discovery door lock repair springs (pair) | eBay

But be warned the are "sided" so get one for the right side.

PS the rear doors are easier to do than the front. As already mentioned read the sticky.
