just about finished my 200tdi series conversion and i have a diesel fuel return pipe spare do i have to plumb it in or can i blank it off without damaging the pump
thanks in advance :D

its the single one on the rear of the pump that the injector 1 or 4 depending which you call 1 or 4 goes to and attaches to a banjo on the pump

why ,fuel in to lift pump then filter then injection pump then return to tank ,leakoffs are already plumbed into injection pump

ithink you have misunderstood me, everything is plumbed in but i have a return left and i know there isnt a home for it on the tank as i fitted the tank not long ago, so could i put the return back to the blanked off side of the fuel filter or do i have to put it back into the tank

you obviously havent used 200 filter head then ,you could put return to filter as long as its got a return to tank

If I read wright you have only one pipe on tank, if so prob. could T into feed to lift pump and return exes fuel there as no presure there

its defo a disco ff housing, that was the donor engine and it came attached to the engine, so regardless of where the return goes it has to end up back to the tank, would it cause damage to blank it off? possibly cause it to overfuel with excess pressure behind the injectors?

yes it has to go back to tank ,was it petrol ,there are holes on tank for a return pipe exactly like pick up
