hi all im towing the caravan for the first time tomorrow with the defender, do I have to have extended mirrors ? if so were can I get some from ? the ones ive got are for the car and they wont fit right

I got a pair of the stick on suction type for mine off ebay
although depending on the width of your caravan you can still manage with standard ones

The std door mirrors on a series / defender are designed for towing with the mirror against the window push the arm to the first position ( for none towing ) then for ( towing ) move the arm to the secon'd position, if you are still struggling to see your van behind you you may need the hi capacity pic up mirrors but your van would have to be as wide as a static caravan to need them

Only if you can see down the sides and behind you. as said should be fine unless your towing a house
