Still fixing it!
Hi guys! Hope you are all well! Sorry if this falls into the stupid wheel/tyre questions catagory.
I've bought land rover free style alloys ( not fire style- like I should of)
I've done some research and now realise these won't fit over my 1990 drums and hubs. After some more reading I found that a lot of people recommend fitting 30mm spacers. But a lot of you seem to think spacers are ****e and put to much strain on bearings etc! I then read that one guy took a grinder to his wheels- sounds crazy to me, but he got them to fit! Then another thread said the tolerance in size to make them fit is millimetres, so cant I just fit 5 mm spacers? Thus not putting as much strain on fore mentioned parts!
Has any one done/tried this?
Any help is gratefully appreciated- I want to get some rubber on these wheels ASAP- but not sure if I should bother now and just save up again and buy different wheels.
